iPhone/iPad app with LiDAR for scanning. Create projects with address and building details, add stories, scan rooms, configure materials and heating per room.
Getting Started with Plans
What is Plans?
Section titled “What is Plans?”Plans helps you capture building data on site and complete your energy assessments efficiently. Use your iPhone or iPad to scan rooms and record building details, then review and finalise your work on the web platform.
The two apps
Section titled “The two apps”Plans Web Platform
Review and complete your assessments. Edit building elements, configure technical installations, and export to your energy certification software.
How the apps work together
Section titled “How the apps work together”- Create Project on iOS: Enter address and building details
- Add Storys: Select story types for each level
- Scan room: Use 3D scanning with red record button
- Configure: Set materials, heating types, and add notes per room
- Upload: Send project data to web platform
- Review on Web: View uploaded projects and room data

Basic workflow
Section titled “Basic workflow”- Login: Sign in to access your account
- Create project: Tap + button, enter address and building details
- Add Storys: Select story type for each level
- Scan room: Tap red circular record button to start scanning
- Configure room: Set heating type, assign materials, add notes
- Room actions: Use bottom drawer for Ceiling scan, New note, Add window, or Next room
- Upload: Tap Upload button to send data to web
What you need

- iOS 16.0 or later
- Free storage space for project data
- Plans account (create in the app)
For web platform
Section titled “For web platform”- Modern web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge)
- Internet connection
- Plans account credentials
Project structure
Section titled “Project structure”Project: Container with address, building details, and multiple stories. Each project represents one building survey.
Story: A level in the building with a story type designation (e.g., ground, first, second).
Room: Individual space scanned. Each room has:
- 3D scan data
- Heating type configuration
- Material assignments (Room Defaults or Individual surfaces)
- Notes list
- Action options (Ceiling scan, New note, Add window)
During Scanning: The app displays helpful status messages to guide you:
- “Move your phone to capture the room” – Ready to begin scanning
- "Scanning …" – Actively recording the room
- "Relocalizing" – Move back to a previously scanned area to help the camera find its position
- “Move a bit slower” – Slow down your movement for better results
- “Success!” – Scan complete, ready to save
