Practical tips for site work
Section titled “Practical tips for site work”If you’re interrupted mid-scan:
- Tap the red button to stop the current scan
- You can save what you have, or Retry the room later
- Previously saved rooms are not affected
If your battery is running low:
- Save your current scan before continuing
- Each saved room is preserved even if the device switches off
- An unsaved scan in progress may be lost if the battery dies
In dark rooms or basements:
- Turn on all available lights
- Open doors to adjacent lit areas
- Scanning won’t work in complete darkness – the camera needs light to track position
In rooms with bright windows:
- Close curtains or blinds if possible
- Start scanning from the window side, facing into the room
In very small rooms (bathrooms, WCs):
- Move slowly and methodically
- You may not need to walk around – rotating in place can work
