Electric Notes in Web

Electric notes document electrical safety concerns and conditions observed during field inspections. These notes are created in the iOS app and can be viewed in the web interface.

The web application provides read-only access to electric notes created during iOS field inspections.

What you can do:

  • View notes related to building elements or materials
  • See note descriptions and attached photos
  • Review severity classifications

What you cannot do:

  • Create new electric notes (iOS only)
  • Edit existing notes (iOS only)
  • Delete notes (iOS only)
  • Filter or search notes (not available in web)

Electric notes appear in the web interface when they are related to the element or material you’re working with.

Notes display in the Details Panel when you select a building element:

  1. Select an element in the 3D viewer or hierarchy
  2. Look for the material selection area in the Details Panel
  3. If notes exist, they appear above the material search field
  4. Click “Show notes” to expand the list

Each note shows:

  • Photo thumbnail (if photos were captured in iOS)
  • Note name (brief description of the electrical concern)
  • Description (detailed observation text)
  • Severity indicator showing hazard classification

Click on a note to view full details in a larger view. This shows:

  • Complete description
  • Full-size photos of electrical concerns
  • All note metadata
  • Severity classification

Electric notes use a severity system to categorize observations. These severity levels are assigned in the iOS app during note capture.
