Upload Errors

This guide helps resolve issues with uploading projects from the iOS app.

Before uploading, the app shows a review screen where you can:

  • Check all scanned rooms and stories
  • Verify materials are assigned
  • Add or edit project notes
  • Review captured building orientation

The Upload button appears at the bottom after scrolling through all data.

If you see “Could not load data” with a Retry button:

Retry loading: Tap the Retry button to reload project data.

Check project completeness: Ensure all required measurements and materials are set. Items marked in red must be completed.

Restart app if needed: Force quit the app, wait 10 seconds, then reopen.

If you see “Orientation not captured” message with the description “Please capture orientation to proceed with the upload”:

The app requires building orientation (azimuth) to be captured before upload. You’ll need to capture the building orientation during scanning to proceed with upload.

The app shows upload errors in an alert after attempting to upload.

“The internet connection was interrupted and the upload was stopped. Try uploading again.”

This appears when network connectivity is lost during upload. Try uploading again when you have a stable connection.

“An error occurred while processing your scan. Please try again. If the error occurs again, contact us at support@plans.app

This indicates a server-side processing error. Try uploading again. If the error persists, contact support at support@plans.app.

“We failed to process your scan. Please try again. If the error keeps happening, contact us on support@plans.app

This indicates invalid scan data. Try uploading again. If the error persists, contact support at support@plans.app.

While uploading, you’ll see:

  • A circular progress indicator showing upload percentage
  • “Uploading…” title
  • Message: “Please don’t lock the screen or switch apps while the upload is in progress.”
  • When complete: “Upload Complete” with message “Your data has been uploaded. View, edit, and complete reports on platform.plans.app” and a Done button

Keep the app open and screen unlocked during upload to prevent interruption.

Once upload completes successfully, you can view the 3D model and complete reports on the web platform at platform.plans.app.

See iOS scanning documentation for capture guidance and web platform documentation for viewing uploaded projects.
