Annotation Overview
Document observations with notes and 3D annotations while scanning or reviewing projects.
Note capture system
Section titled “Note capture system”The app provides two ways to document findings:

Section titled “Note capture”Add notes with photos and descriptions organized by category:
- Select from predefined note categories
- Add multiple photos
- Write descriptions
- Set severity levels (for condition notes)
- Notes link to current location
3D annotations
Section titled “3D annotations”Place 3D annotation pins in space at specific locations:
- 3D pins overlay on camera view
- Position annotations at physical locations
- Link notes to precise points in scanned space
- View annotations spatially
Note categories

Condition
Document state of building components with severity levels:
- Critical
- Serious
- Less serious
- Possible

Add a note
Section titled “Add a note”- Tap Notes button
- Select note Category
- For Condition notes, select Severity
- Tap camera icon to add photos
- Write Description
- Tap Save
Notes automatically link to your current location in the project.
Place AR annotations
Section titled “Place AR annotations”- Tap AR Annotations button
- Point camera at the location
- Tap screen to place 3D pin
- Select note Category
- Add photos and Description
- Tap Save
The pin saves the physical position.
Attach photos
Section titled “Attach photos”All note categories support photos:
- Tap camera icon
- Take new photos or select from library
- Add multiple photos per note
View annotations
Section titled “View annotations”- View notes in project notes list
- Filter by Category or Severity
- View AR annotations in 3D annotation mode
- Access notes linked to specific rooms or locations
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”AR pins not placing accurately
- Ensure good lighting
- Move device slowly
- Point at textured surfaces (not blank walls)
- Re-scan area if needed
Photos not attaching
- Check camera permissions in Settings
- Ensure sufficient storage space
- Try taking photos instead of selecting from library
Notes not saving
- Check internet connection for sync
- Verify project is open
- Fill all required fields
- Try again or restart app
